5000 Series: Digital Electronic Access Control Lock

The 5000 series is a battery operated electronic lock, which is easy to install, programme and operate.

The lock is suitable for domestic and commercial applications, especially on multi-user doors where conventional key management control may be a problem.

There are 2 locks in the range but the only difference is the lock bolt, where there is a choice between an automatically deadlocking deadlatch (5000/EL) and deadbolt (5100/EL).

There are two levels of access control:
1) By electronic keypad with a range of codes, 1 thru 9 Which provides more than 500,000 possible combinations
2) By touch code key / reader which accepts up to 255 user keys

Programming code changes, either keypad or touch code key, is easily performed with the use of function buttons.

The lock has a passage function (lock can be opened without code), which again is easily programmed via the function buttons. The lock is powered by 4 x AA alkaline batteries, which, with normal usage should last 12 months.

A low voltage warning system signals low battery power. In case of complete electronic failure the lock is fitted with a key override system.Touch code keys are not supplied with the lock but are available as optional extras.

Keys can be supplied in a range of different holders. Locks are supplied with a 60mm backset as standard but a 70mm backset is available to order on the 5000/EL version
